Girls Water Polo Co-op

Sport Overview
The Deerfield–Highland Park Girls Water Polo program is a competitive high school co-op team that brings together student-athletes from Deerfield High School (Warriors) and Highland Park High School (Giants). Built on a tradition of strong aquatic programs in both communities, the team provides an opportunity for athletes to compete at a high level while representing both schools.
Our program focuses on skill development, teamwork, and resilience. Players train in all aspects of the sport including swimming endurance, ball handling, offensive and defensive tactics, and game strategy. Practices emphasize conditioning, technical fundamentals, and team chemistry so athletes can perform at their best during conference and tournament play.
The co-op structure allows athletes from both schools to unite under a shared identity while still honoring the traditions of the Warriors and Giants. The team competes in IHSA competition against programs throughout Illinois and participates in regular season matches, invitationals, and postseason play.
Beyond competition, the program aims to develop confident leaders in and out of the water. Student-athletes learn discipline, accountability, and perseverance while building lasting friendships with teammates from both communities.
Whether athletes are experienced water polo players or transitioning from competitive swimming, the Deerfield–Highland Park Girls Water Polo team welcomes dedicated athletes who are ready to work hard, support their teammates, and compete with pride.
Relentless Together.
