Boys Cross Country

Sport Overview
Boys cross country is a proud team of runners with a long-standing history of inclusion, positivity, and success. Our team accepts everyone, whether you're a fast runner already or have never run a step in your life before. We are truly one single team of about 45 runners from freshmen to seniors and from slowest to fastest. There is one coaching staff and one big altogether practice each day. There is a pay-it-forward attitude on the team where the older runners mentor and look out for the younger runners because they received that treatment when they were younger.
But don’t get us wrong, it’s not just good feelings that we’re after. At the top, we’re a very good team. In 2025 we were the CSL South Conference Champions and placed third in the state out of ~160 teams in the IHSA State Series. But our focus is on much more than just the runners at the top. In fact, many of our fastest runners were middle or back-of-the-pack guys when they started, so we're built on emphasizing hard work and dedication regardless of talent or experience level.
