Robotics
Club Overview
Robotics Club gives DHS students the chance to design, build and program a robot to compete in the global FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). FTC is a sports-style, team-based competition where students work in small groups to apply real-world math, science and engineering concepts to build a competitive, high-performing robot.
The season kicks off in early September with the release of the year’s challenge and can extend into late February or early March, depending on the team’s success.
The DHS team collaborates closely with the HPHS team, making this a unique cross-school project. FTC is a great way to build technical skills, strengthen teamwork and experience the excitement of competition.
