Fencing

Club Overview

The Fencing Club is open to all DHS and HPHS students. The season runs from September through February, with competitions held from November to early February.

Fall practices focus on introducing new fencers to the sport and preparing them for competition. Early in the season, we practice on Mondays after school in the DHS cafeteria and Thursday evenings from 7–9 pm in the IM gym. Starting in November, practices typically shift to HPHS on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7–9 pm.

We offer fencing in all three classical weapons—foil, epee and saber—with electric scoring machines available. New members are welcome to try fencing using club equipment, though students who continue are expected to purchase some of their own gear.
