DHS Honor Society

Club Overview

The Deerfield High School Honor Society was established in 2007 to recognize students’ achievements in scholarship, leadership and service. Students who have achieved an unweighted GPA of 3.33 through their 5th semester AND who have been cleared by the DHS Deans will be invited to apply. To join DHS Honor Society, fill out an application.

Requirements

  1. Submit an Application for Admission form, which includes a list of extracurricular (and community service) participation 
  2. Ask for and receive a Confirmation of Character from FIVE members of the DHS Faculty.

Links to the Application for Admission form and the explanation of how to ask teachers to confirm character will be emailed to eligible students.

Important Dates

Mid-February: Notification emails sent
March 10: Applications due
Usually before Spring Break: Notification of Admission
April 21 at 7:30 pm: Induction Ceremony

Once accepted into the DHS Honor Society, students are expected to maintain their GPA, exhibit good character and continue to productively participate in activities in the high school, community and beyond.
