Science
The mission of the science department is to empower students with scientific communication and critical thinking skills to creatively navigate an ever-changing world. The science department curriculum is designed to develop the skills needed for success in science as students learn major concepts in biology, chemistry and physics.
Earth and space science concepts are integrated within those core content courses. It is recommended that students complete the core physics, biology and/or chemistry courses before further applying skills and concepts in the Advanced Placement (AP) science courses or science elective courses as upperclassmen.
