Career & Technical Education (Currently Applied Arts)

The Applied Arts Department, which will be renamed to Career & Technical Education beginning in the 2026-27 school year, emphasizes character development, collaboration and responsibility. The focus of the department goes beyond technical skill. Courses encourage students to become active participants in their communities, to cultivate a deep sense of purpose, and to explore pathways that may lead to careers in business, engineering, graphic design, child development and beyond. Each student gains hands-on experience, making connections between classroom learning and real-world application, preparing them for both college and careers.
