first-place team
Deerfield's team earned its highest overall score ever, receiving the highest possible score of 100 in all seven subjects. This yielded a perfect team score of 500 (since five of seven subjects count toward the team score) and made Deerfield the regional first-place team in the unlimited division (schools with more than 1500 students). The entire team is now qualified to advance to the sectional competition in March. The fourteen team members earned eighteen individual medals, including seven first-place medals, five second-place medals, and six third-place medals.
